Penne Pasta with Spicy Vodka-Tomato Cream Sauce

Fast and super easy dish


Ingredients:


Penne Pasta with

Spicy Vodka-Tomato Cream Sauce


Ingredients:


1.5 Tbsp. olive oil

1 lb. Italian Sausage ( add 1/2 tsp. Cayenne pepper to sausage)

4 cloves garlic, Minced

1 (28-oz) can low sodium crushed tomatoes, undrained

1 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper flakes

6 shakes of Tabasco

1 lb. Penne Pasta

1/2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream

2 Tbsp. Vodka

1/4 cup chopped fresh Parsley

Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish.


  1. Heat oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add sausage (with cayenne pepper); cook, stirring and breaking up lumps, until browned, about 7-10 minutes. Stir in garlic; cook 1 minute. Stir in tomatoes and salt, then bring to a boil. Add pepper flakes and tabasco. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally for 15-20 minutes.

  2. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain.

  3. Stir cream and vodka into skillet and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and add pasta, stirring until well coated. Stir in Parsley and garnish with Parmesan.

  4. Enjoy!
